Cristo Rey Dallas is a private Catholic college prep high school located in Southeast Dallas. The school serves only low income students, giving them an equal opportunity to have a successful future with work study experiences and college prep classes. My goal was to rebrand the school with a more modern look while still remaining accessible to the community they serve and maintain their faith-based core. The new logo is a take on the traditional academic shield with a lion inside it using a cross to create the face. The lion was chosen as a representation of a kingly and heavenly animal. The shield shape is used again in the poster ad series created, and the language I used for the brand is academic with a twist of Christian religious vocabulary and phrases.
