The world according to garp

Book cover designed for the novel “The World According to Garp”. This story follows T.S. Garp, a novelist and bastard son of a famous feminist leader. The novel is full of amazing visuals and intense symbolism. The concept I went with for this book cover is one I call “Head Soup”. There is so much that goes into the world of T.S. Garp and his fantastical stories and creations, that I decided something equally out of this world would be a great way to show all of the bits and pieces that make up his life. All of the seemingly random images are falling into the soup pot that is T.S. Garp. The unexpected color palette and grainy texture help set the mood for the time period this story is set in, post World War II.
